AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING

Automated decision-making refers to decisions made exclusively by automated means without any human involvement. This may include, for example, an online assessment of your resume's compatibility with a posted job vacancy, where the decision is made based on the information you've entered without any human intervention.

Career Angel makes automated decisions using artificial intelligence, utilizing your personal data. If you do not agree with Software making automated decisions, please do not use Software provided by the Career Angel platform and product offering.

For any questions related to automated decision-making or termination of Career Angel usage, please email us at support@careerangel.ai

Situations where Career Angel (hereinafter "the System") makes automated decisions using artificial intelligence while processing with your personal data…

During your registration on the Career Angel website:

  • When uploading a resume, the System extracts data and automatically fills in registration fields, also saving user data to the database (prior to registration).
  • When uploading a resume during the quiz (questionnaire) stage or in the personal account, the System automatically generates a new resume document using AI which is optimized for processing by applicant tracking systems (ATS systems) employed by employers.

At the time of payment:

  • When you pay for Career Angel’s service the System may automatically register or create internal accounts (maintained by Career Angel) on necessary services/platforms (“Job Providers”, as defined below).

When generating cover letters:

  • The System may automatically prepare a cover letter based on your personal data coupled with data from the job description.

At the stage of submitting resumes and other relevant data to companies or other individuals who have posted job opportunities (hereinafter "job applications"):

  • The System may analyze each opportunity using AI and provides a rating of resume-to- opportunity compatibility.
  • Simultaneously, the System may prepare an AI-generated cover letter that will be automatically sent along with the job application.
  • Before filling out forms, the System may analyze the similarity between the opportunity and your data and use this to make a determination as to whether to apply for the opportunity, or not.
  • The System will select or provide the best response it can calculate for queries it encounters based on data you have provided, data you have provided access to, and its internal algorithms, heuristics, and AI models. If the System cannot calculate an acceptable (in its own determination) response, such queries may be normalized and presented back on your dashboard for you to provide more information to navigate such query in the future. You may be alerted to these situations as the need for these new data points are identified.
  • Email communications/responses related to each job application will be sent to one of the following (depending on the circumstance): 1) directly to the email address you use for the account on the job listing platform applied through; 2) directly to the email provided to the System and submitted with your job application (in situations where specifying your email address is provided); 3) if the System has created a proxy account on your behalf on the target job application submission platform, the System will automatically forward to your email address specified within the System any message from the employer in response to the job application.

Job Providers:

Job providers are companies or platforms that aggregate and list job openings from various employers. These platforms serve as intermediaries between jobseekers and employers, offering a centralized location where candidates can search for and apply to multiple job opportunities. Examples of such platforms include job board websites or recruitment services.

These Job providers often offer additional features such as resume posting, job alerts, and sometimes their own AI-powered matching services to connect suitable candidates with relevant job openings.

In some cases, Job Providers prohibit the use of third-party automation on their services. In such instances, manual management may be required. You can perform this manually on your own or contact us at support@careerangel.ai for assistance. Where possible, and where you have provided access and authorization, the System may take actions on your account in order to submit application to job opportunities on your behalf. The System will never post messages on your account or change your profile or personal data – the System will only utilize its access to apply for job opportunities on your behalf. The only exception to this is on platforms where the System has created a proxy account to represent you in order to submit a job application, for instance on an employer’s applicant tracking system (ATS).
